June Favourites 2016

Here are my first ever monthly favourites for June! I apologise its slightly early but James and I go away to Devon tomorrow for a little holiday with Custard and I wanted to get this up before we go. I really enjoyed getting together a few things that I've really been loving this month so I hope you enjoy!

1. EmberCandleCo - Bubblegum Skull Candle
This little bad boy was a treat to myself at the beginning of June and I have affectionately named him Sven. I have no intention of burning him because he's simply just too cute and he smells amazing. I also think he's loving life sat at the end of my desk with my fluffy pens. This Etsy shop also gives you the option to choose the colour and scent of your skull candle so its totally up to you what you go for. The only thing I don't like is Sven starts to sweat even if it gets the slightest bit warm so I have to keep an eye on him and keep him away from the window or direct sunlight.

I am IN LOVE with this shower scrub by Original Source and this is probably my third bottle this year of the liquorice scent. I know liquorice is a bit hit and miss like marmite in the sense that you either love it or you absolutely despise the stuff but I have loved the smell and taste of liquorice since before I can remember. This stuff smells good enough to eat and fills your bathroom with a definite liquorice scent whilst scrubbing away any dead skin cells and leaving your body silky smooth. It does lack slightly in the scrub department and a few reviews I've read agree that it could do with more of the scrub, but I honestly don't feel that its a big deal because the smell more than makes up for it.

3. Fondant and Almond Gelly Nail Polish - Barry M
These colours are my absolute favourite from Barry M and I love their Gelly range. I think these two shades sit gorgeously together side by side and the Fondant is slap bang in between pink and lilac so for me its the best of both worlds! I've really been enjoying this more subtle look for my nails and its also not as noticeable when it starts to chip away which is always a bonus!

This hand cream smells devine and I have unfortunately used it all up! This is a brand I always like to stock up on when I place an order on Superdrug because my local store doesn't really stock much of it anymore *boo!*
I've just placed another order for their Mango hand cream as this one wasn't in stock, but I always get compliments at work on how amazing it smells. I much prefer my hand creams to smell like pudding...not that I mind the standard fresh scents but strawberries and cream is one of my favourites when it comes to body butters and hand creams. I'm gutted I've used all of this bottle up but hopefully the Mango one will be just as good! July favourites maybe?!

This is something I 'accidentally' treated myself to at the end of June because I spotted it in the Urban Outfitters sale and couldn't resist. James hates it with a passion and thinks it looks like a tea towel his Chinese Grandma might own but I think its absolutely beautiful. I wasn't sure what I would use it for when it arrived but I soon snuggled down in front of Netflix for OITNB with a cup of tea with it over my lap and realised it would make a very nice, cosy blanket. I'm in love with the design and it was an absolute steal at only £20.

So that is everything for my monthly favourites for June. I'm trying to gauge what is an acceptable amount to talk about without boring you senseless so feel free to leave me a comment if you'd like to see more next time!

Nutribuddy First Impressions

I am so very excited to announce that I have been given the opportunity to work with this awesome looking new health and fitness brand, Nutribuddy!
Nutribuddy were kind enough to send me their 'Weight Loss Kit' to trial out and review so over the next 2 weeks I'll be putting my all in to see how this stuff works.

You may have read my previous blog post on my anxiety update, where I explained that the medication I was on had caused me to gain a stone in weight. Standing at 5ft 1 and usually being a size 6/8 (depending on where I shop) I currently weigh 9 stone 8Ibs but have been a consistent 8.5 stone from the age of 16 to 24 prior to taking this medication.
It has started to get me down as I've had body image issues in the past and I have been a bit naughty and taken myself off the medication. I know…it wasn't the wisest of moves considering I'm not a Dr but I feel so much better already and would like to get my ass in gear to get rid of these excess pounds.
Connecting with Nutribuddy couldn't have happened at a better time so lets go ahead and see what they are all about!

Nutribuddy, weight loss kit

The weight loss kit comes with the Nutribuddy Sculping Whey, some Vitamins and also the Hunger Fix tablets. They also provide a really handy looking recipe book for smoothies, shakes and snacks, and also a weight loss guide.

As I have cut milk out of my diet these past couple of months, I decided to mix my first shake with water to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised and it was actually very tasty, but I'll still be trying it with soya milk when I kickstart the whole thing to see which I prefer. I went for the chocolate flavour whey powder and I'm so very glad I did. So far I'm really impressed with the taste. It's also suitable for veggies!

I've given both tablets a whirl today aswell. Obviously its too early to notice anything with these but I'll be keeping a close eye on whether it curbs my grumbling, chocolate craving tum or not. The multivitamins are also packed with goodness so we'll see what my energy levels are like after taking these.

I'm really impressed with the Nutribuddy packaging - its simple and to the point yet stylish and smart as well as really thick strong quality. The packaging itself has a lovely matte finish which is something I just love about any kind of packaging. I also received a black shaker bottle and again, this is great quality, doesn't leak and is easy to clean.

I'm very excited to get started with the kit so wish me luck!
Today is Day 1, I'll be doing plenty of exercise and drinking lots of water along with eating healthy nutritious meals.

Thanks for reading :)
