Etta French Candles

This month I have been extremely lucky and was given the opportunity to review a brand new range of candles from a company called Etta French. These candles are very special as they actually contain a piece of jewellery hidden away in the wax. Once the candle has burnt down enough, it reveals a surprise parcel, which holds your mystery gems!

Etta French kindly sent me a candle to review over here on my blog and I was so excited to get stuck in.

My first impressions of the candle were that it was flawless - literally one of the most beautiful candles I have ever seen. I have never owned a candle that conceals a piece of jewellery before so this was so new and very exciting to me! I received the 'Rose, Saffron & Vetiver' scent candle and usually I'm not really a fan of rose smells but the wax smelt so fresh and pretty that I couldn't wait to light it.
The packaging is also a huge bonus, it feels like such a treat owning one of these candles. The boxes are thick and sturdy with high quality printed detailing, complete with a gold finish. There is even a cute little silky pouch to keep your jewellery in once you have retrieved it from the wax. I thought this was a really sweet extra touch! The candle itself is in a beautifully matte white finished glass container.

I was concerned to begin with that I would be wasting a whole candle just to get down to the bottom to get the jewellery out but I was pleasantly surprised that you can see the foil within the first hour of lighting the candle, so within four hours I was able to wiggle out my little parcel with a pair of tweezers. There is still 80% of candle left and I'm in love with the scent.

My piece of jewellery was an adorable little dainty gold bird charm necklace. Dainty jewellery is by far my favourite and this little guy is so cute! The chain also has an adjustable end so you can wear it at different lengths.

I am thrilled to bits with my Etta candle and I'm really enjoying the scent…I've not stopped burning it during the day time! The scent is strong enough to fill the room with a lovely subtle hint but not so much that its in your face.

The available scents are:
Violet & Sweet Pea
Wisteria & Orange Blossom
Rose, Saffron & Vetiver
Pomegranate & Mint
Nutmeg, Orange & Cinnamon

Etta French work with jewellery designers from around the UK, the pieces are of very high quality and lovingly handmade.
The candles cost £37.50 each and I also have a little discount code for my blog readers and YouTube viewers to use throughout July, which will get you 10% off :)

I would like to give another huge thank you to Etta French for giving me this wonderful opportunity and sending me one of their beautiful candles. It has honestly made my month!

Thanks for reading!

  1. I love seeing what everyone got in their candle! I got a little owl necklace, so cute! I'm definitely going to be purchasing more of these. You're not alone in rubbing the oil into your hands, I think because they're all natural and high in essential oils that they have such a soft texture\
