24 Hours In Paris

We all have those magical city breaks in our heads don't we? Most people go for New York, Las Vegas, or even Rome. The one I have yet to explore and completely fall in love with is Paris. All those gorgeous french boutiques tucked away down quaint side streets, cafes selling freshly bakes croissants with coffee and plenty of things to do and see.

What with all the house buying and other pricey riff raff I'm currently going through, I have definitely accepted that we won't be going away for a while. But a girl can dream can't she? Earlier this year we visited Dublin which was technically our 'honeymoon' because it was cheap and we were saving hard for our mortgage deposit. Looking back, I think we'd rather have sat tight for a little longer and saved a tiny bit extra for more of a romantic city break in Paris, but at least we got Ireland ticked off our Bucket List.

The thing with Paris is its packed with beautiful things to see. The main attraction for me is the Louvre and would definitely be my first stop! I'm dying to see the Mona Lisa amongst other famous pieces of artwork and overall experience the majestic galleries and learn plenty of new things. Then theres Notre Dame, Versailles, the padlock bridges where lovers throw their keys into the rivers below and of course, the Eiffel Tower. I can't help but imagine the beautiful photography opportunities awaiting  in this city plus it would be an opportunity to practice my rusty french…its been a while!

One of the other brilliantly convenient things about Paris is from the UK, we can easily hop onto the Eurostar from London and away we go. I'm not a huge fan of flying but the train is super quick, comfy and its easy to navigate around the stations. We travelled to Disneyland Paris using the Eurostar and couldn't have been happier with the journey.

Let me know in the comments which is your dream city to visit!

Thanks for reading,

  1. Ah, I would so love to be only a train ride away from Paris!! Lucky you! Adam and I are longing to go to France together for a romantic getaway but it will probably be a while before that happens. :\ Also, I'm disappointed they had to take down the love locks from the bridges...but we'll probably leave a lock behind in Paris somewhere anyway :) Hopefully you guys can go soon - make sure to take tons of pics together, would love to see more of you both! :) Take care! x
