July Favourites

How these months come and go so fast is beyond scary but at the same time a little bit exciting as it means Autumn is on it's way. Yep I'm done with the summer months, but that didn't stop me from having a great July and I've collected together some of my favourite products and moments from this month.

Copic Markers
I've really been enjoying making the most of my Copic Ciao markers over the past few weeks and I'm dying to treat myself to some extra colours, which seems to be the only thing holding me back from using them even more! I've been drawing a lot of wildlife and trying to improve my skills and branch out into different medias as well, Copic's sure do take some getting used to but I love how they blend and build up.

Llama Bedding - Primark
I swiped this gorgeous bedding set from Primark at the start of July and I have absolutely no regrets. To make it a whole lot better, I found a cheeky llama cushion too which was ridiculously cheap at just £5. My llama obsession is never ending and a huge thankyou to Primark for channeling their inner llamas recently!

Dress - Hell Bunny
I can't even remember why I was on ASOS, usually I don't bother because it just leaves me wanting lots of clothes I can't afford but this little beauty caught my eye and I just had to have it. It's by a brand called Hell Bunny who I used to adore as a teenager and I have no idea they were still going, or switching their style up a bit and producing clothes this bloody cute? It's a little tea dress with gorgeous embroidery and Peter Pan collar. It was in the sale too for £25 down from £41.50! I wore it on a date night with James to Pizza Express to try out their new vegan pizza. Verdict; tasted amazing and I felt fabulous in my new dress.

Pink Soda
I always used to think you could workout in any clothes, how very wrong I was. When I started taking exercise a little more seriously earlier this summer, I thought I'd get by with a few pairs of my £2.50 shorts from Primark and some vest tops. Truth is, proper gym gear supports you, is a lot more breathable and it's a hell of a lot comfier. I've loved Pink Soda since buying a tee set in Dublin last year and after struggling and sweating my tits off in non gym clothes, I invested in a new vest top, some leggings and a sporty jumper (because it was in the sale, duh). I noticed a huge difference and you wouldn't know it unless you try clothes which are intended for exercise.

Rucksack - Primark
I picked up this beauty of a bag in Primark for an absolute steal at just £10 and I absolutely love it! I needed a bigger rucksack style bag for SITC and I didn't want to be worrying about a handbag or not having the space to put everything I could need on the day (I'm the type of person who goes fully equipped anywhere!) and I fell in love with this bag after seeing someone else with it at the checkout. It's a beautiful silver colour and such high quality for Primark, with LOADS of room inside. Perfect!

Lotus Biscoff Biscuits
Can you imagine the noise I made when I discovered these were vegan? It went a little something like this. "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" These have been a favourite treat of mine for years, my Grandparents used to get them in for us and they were the really 'special' biscuits. We've gotten through four packets in the Woolley household this month and I'm not even sorry...it was mainly me who demolished them all.

Being by Sanctuary Spa
These products were gifted to me at the beginning of July for an Instagram post and let me tell you, these are some of the best beauty treats I've ever had the pleasure of trying. The shower gel in particular smells so amazing and I can still smell it on my skin an entire day after using. The body spray is perfect for freshening up and the hand cream is the perfect size for your handbag and smells beautiful. AND, they're a cruelty free brand!

Quality Time With Friends
Although it would seem I can't take normal photos, I adore this shot of me and my friend Soph at our friends wedding in July. It was a DIY photo booth with loads of props and of course, you can't wear pilot goggles without acting the prat can you? Soph and I spent the day together before the wedding walking around Leicester nipping into various shops before parting ways for a couple of hours, then she came over to mine and we got ready for the wedding together. There is something about getting ready for a girls night with your friends that's just plain fun. We had curling irons out, makeup everywhere, Disney films in the background and we curled eachother's hair whilst gossiping about boys and sharing signature makeup tips.

July has been a really fun month despite the fact that today I was diagnosed with Exercise Induced Asthma which believe it or not is a real thing and I'm not as chuffed about being exercise restricted as I can imagine a lot of people would be! The sooner Autumn returns the better...this hay fever/asthma business doesn't sit well with me!

Thanks for reading,

  1. I love the photo of you at the wedding! Those Being by Sanctuary products look amazing, and I love the llama-ness of your home!
I have severe asthma, I've had it since I was about 5, it gets triggered by exercise, sore throats, fur, dust, cold... pretty much everything! If you manage it correctly, it shouldn't restrict you too much with exercise - I had to adapt my fitness regime, but it's all about prevention rather than treatment with exercise :) If you ever have any questions about it, let me know though :)

    1. Haha thankyou! I'm hosting a giveaway on my Instagram right now to win a set of the Being products ;) I'd love to chat to you some more about asthma if that's okay? I've had the EIA all my life but believed people when they said I was unfit and now I feel like a fool for only just getting it checked out properly. Wahh! x x
